My Journey to Losing 10kg

Literally that number on the scale frighten me. I was never worried about my body shape, but that figure scared me...

I decided to lose weight because my BMI was closed to being obese, and I was not okay with that.
I was scared for all the possible illnesses that came along with it. I was scared of all the opportunity I would have lost. I was scared to be in the hospital to treat it. I was scared of not living my life. I know that sounds dramatic, but that what made lose the weight and keep it off. I basically decided to be somewhat healthy

This is what I did to lose the weight and keep it from coming back

1) I took the bad food away, not permanently or that will put me off the plan. For example, instead of eating an entire bar of snicker, I would have half to satisfy my cravings.

2) Watch your portions! I literally always over eat and feel disgusting afterwards. When I felt full, I would stop, no matter how much there was left on the plate. I would stop.

3) I had a food journal. I literally kept tabs on everything I ate, and research how many calories it had, and put a limit on how much I eat a day. It doesn't have to be accurate, but I research to see and estimate how much I had eaten. And it's good to see and compare the days when you eaten a lot and when you haven't (I used an app on my phone).

4) Exercise. Literally the fundamental step. I don't do those intense 40 minutes - 4 times a week workout or else I would die. I do 10-20 minutes everyday. I find that easier and still effective. If I really wanted to sweat, I would do T25 - which is a tense workout for 25 minutes. Or I would do blogilates, which is AMAZING!!!!Casey (the person in the videos), does all the workouts with you and she motivates you. She also have a playlist on eating healthy, yet the food is still delicious! Sometimes I would also do Zumba which is also a great alternative if you want to have an exercise session, but more like dancing.

5) Important, yet simple. Eat breakfast! I literally skipped this step all my life, because when I ate at 7am I felt sick, I didn't want to eat. I still forced myself anyways, because its better for me. Even if its toast with Nutella, eat it. Your body will probably use all the energy from the Nutella, so it doesn't matter that it's Nutella! But don't eat loads, watch your portions.

6) Last Step. I set a day and weigh my progressions every week. I will make sure to weigh myself at the end of day (because I have food inside of me, so I can see how much I weigh with food - its make sense to me), and I keep tabs and see if I lose any kgs throughout the week.

I lost 10 kg in 7 weeks and it stayed off. I stop there, so my body can make any changes it needs long term and I will start the same process again but maybe a little intenser after 2-3 months (tbh 5 months passed I didn't start again yet, but the weight hadn't come back on).

So that my story on losing weight ♥

See you next week
Byeeeeeeeeeee :)
