For the longest time, I have been avoiding my brows... Personally whenever I attempted to fill them in, I just look like a gorilla (no joke). Going to get your brow wax or threaded is just completely terrifying for me, as I am such a wimp. For some people it is probably safer to have them done at home, so you can safely experiment with what brow shape you want. Anyone who is currently in my situation, I hope this will helpfully guide you in taming your brows at home.
I will first research. There are so many eyebrows inspiration out there. Some want fairly arched brows and some want straighter brows. I go for the straighter brows, as I have a small forehead and I want to go for the youthful look.
After knowing what brow look you want, try to replicate it on your brows. Fill or draw them in while having in mind the shape and size you are going for. The drawn potential new brows is going to be used as a stencil.
Once you are happy and done with the shape and size of your potential new brows, start plucking around them. Keep checking the size of your brows making sure that it is not too thin. Check your brow size by removing the stencil.
If the desire shape and size is not yet there, draw the stencil back on and start plucking again. This might take long, but it will ensure that your brows are not overly plucked and that there will be some brows left once it is done.
Once you are completely happy with the results, remove the stencil and fill your brows in again. The whole point of refilling them in, is to see how fast you can fill your brows in. If they look like the stencil your have wanted, then it is complete.
I use the 'Wet and Wild Brow Kit' to fill in my brows. I mix the lighter and darker shades to shape the outer section of my brows and filling it by 2/3 of the way. I use only the lighter shade to fill in the start of my brows, working it in to the filled outer section of my brow. This creates an ombre effect. I spooley my brows to make it look more natural. Set the brows in place with a gel or wax.
I hope this has given you some guidance on how to fill and tame your eyebrows. This technique has given me a chance to see what works for me. Once you know what works for you, you can probably go to a brow bar and tell them exactly what you want done.
Hope this was helpful ♥
