It was a tiring and exhausting trip, but fun as I had spent it will one of my oldest and dearest friend
That evening before dinner, (the typical girls we are) we went shopping!
First stop Sephora! Watching many sephora hauls,I was pretty damned excited about going in and spending loads. But that didn't exactly happened.
I didn't actually find anything I liked that much, because most of the product are available in the UK. So, no damage was done. But my sadness for not finding Tarte cosmetic was unbearable.
After Sephora, we visited many other places that I can't seem to remember, but our last stop before returning to the hotel was 'Forever 21'. God, the 2hours of trying on clothes was so tiring, but yet so fun as we encourage each other to get more. I found this lovely dress, but decided not to get it as it was available in the UK(I didn't find it in the end).
Dinner that night was treated by my friend parent as I was staying with them.
It was a lovely dinner and dessert was delicious!
'My dessert'
The next day was extremely hot! We left the hotel before noon and visited the 'Louvre Museum'. We saw the 'Mona Lisa' (no photo as there was such a huge crowd), and we left shortly afterward on a hunt for Starbucks coffee as we were running out of energy.
Found Starbucks and rested for 30 minutes, debating where to go next. The next stop was 'Champs Elysee'. Got on the metro, no problem. Got out, there was a problem. 'Where the hell are we?'. We walked and walked, following the sign, taking photos and looking at the scenery.
Once we crossed this bridge and continued walking for the next 15 minutes, my friend stop me, and in the distance we can see the 'Eiffel Tower'. Now, both of us was studying the map once again and realised 'We are on the other side of the river!'. Plan changed. Go towards the Eiffel Tower instead. We literally walked for 2 hours, with 3 short stop as it was 38 degree and if we didn't rest we will probably die of dehydration.
We arrived at the Eiffel Tower and sit on the grass and having our drinks for the next 45 minutes in the shade.
After resting and taking in the scenery. We decided to go 'Charles de gaulle etoile' - The place my dad recommended we go see. After debating and asking for help to get the right train or we might end in Versailles, we got to 'Charles de gaulle etoile'. Guess what! We originally intended to go there first! Now we saw the 'Arc de Triomphe' and we knew we were on the road to 'Champs Elysee'.
Guess what! Shopping again! Literally we went to H&M, Sephora (again), MAC, Disney (never too old!), we had a snack (forgot the name of the place) and we visited many more shops.
After our shopping experience again, we went back to the hotel and had dinner in the area. The dinner was very nice, but the portion was just huge, I wasn't expecting that. Lesson learned - don't eat too much bread before dinner.
And that was the second day in Paris done...
Part 2 will be shortly up :)
