Spring Cleaning - Wardrobe Edition
Spring is just right around the corner and it's time to clean out our winter wardrobe! For those who have a warmer climate all year round, this is still relevant, because let's be honest here... who ever have to time to clean out their entire wardrobe? Personally, not me.
A few days ago, I decided to have a whole clean out of my wardrobe, which literally means, pulling everything, and I mean everything, out onto the bed. I had two huge bin big ready, as I labelled them for the bin or donation. The 'Bin' bag was for all the clothes that was going straight into the bin, while the 'Donation' bag was for friends and families to go through.
I sorted all my keep clothes in 'Everyday', 'Occasions', 'Next Season' or 'School Trips' (because on school trips you get pretty grubby). I went through everything, and thoughtfully think things through. I tried clothes on again, because our taste and our sizing might changed in the last six months. I went through all my clothes with tough love. I wasn't going to keep something that I worn once, and that went into the 'Donation Bag'.
This just didn't apply to clothes, but also shoes, handbags, accessories and cosmetics. I went through the same process as I did with my clothes.
Once everything is decided, and before putting the clothes back into the wardrobe, I cleaned it with a damp cloth from top to bottom, and let me tell you, it's nasty. Then I put all my clothes back into wardrobe, but into parts.
All my comfy sweatpants and baggy t-shirt went into my draws, all my nice everyday clothes went into the main area, and my 'pretty' and 'occasional' dresses and outfits, went into another section of my wardrobe. For shoes I organised them into lines on the bottom of my wardrobe and my handbags went into my draws.
I ended up with two bags that was going straight to the bin and one bag for friends and families.
Hope this help for your Spring cleaning
