Review: Maybelline Baby Lips (2 Edition)

(Left: UK Version and Right: Asian Version.)
When I was in the England, visiting my family during Christmas,  my 'Maybelline Baby Lip (Asian Edition)' was on it's last leg. I went to boots and got the same 'Maybelline baby lip' (Slightly different packaging), but the 'UK Edition'. (Is that a thing?)

Even though the packaging was different, I took the non tinted one. Let me tell you this. The formula is actually different. I don't know why, but shouldn't all products have the same formula? Strange isn't it. I thought maybe because 'Western' and 'Asian' might have different skin types or whatever, but even so, why?

Out of curiosity I tried researching it but found nothing.

Comparison
I prefer the 'Asian Version' of the Baby Lips, because the formula is much more creamy and hydrating, which is what you want in a lip balm.

The 'UK Version' of the Baby Lips, felt like plastic wrap on my lips. It didn't help my lips at all! I needed the hydration, because it was winter in England. I gave up using it after a week, because it destroyed my lips.

I definitely liked the 'Asian Version' much more, as it did everything I wanted. I recommend it as an 'everyday top up' hydration, but not an overnight one.

Even though the 'UK Version' was horrible for my lips, it can be used as a highlighter! Didn't see that one coming did you? Apply it on your cheek bones, and when the light hit the area, it gives the face more dimension. I would recommend using it as a highlighter during spring/summer, because it's blends into the skin beautifully and gives the right amount of luminosity.
