Tying Up the Loose Ends - Fitness Journey 2.0

Image(s) belongs to the Gym

It has been a lil'bit over two years since I posted My Journey to Losing 10kg blog post; and it has been more than two years and a half since I actually lost the 10kg. Since the last two years and half, I have been noticing my diet going back to what it was, and I don't like that. Looking back, it was not my intention that I was slowing retracing my steps and going back to where I've started. It was not. But when I realised that I did put nearly all my weight back, a sense of panic went over me.

I don't want to say that I wasn't careful, because I did stop myself from having that toffee-nut latte. But maybe I was more careless after losing all that weight, or just plain reckless (however you want to see it). What I meant by careless is, thinking that the weight will stay gone, while slowly and unconsciously going back to my old ways. The last year especially, I was overeating and not portioning my food, not saying 'no' more often, and not being active at all like my GCSE days.

Last month I joined a gym, and it was a conscious decision as I needed to be healthy. I have not done any exercise since I dropped out of the school football team last year, and that was when all the kilos suddenly came rushing back to me. My back is aching again, til the point I'm in bed for two hours because I can't get up. It honestly scares me. So I joined the gym due to me wanting to be healthy, and yes, me being healthy does involve me losing some weight. I am a very short person, and my skeleton should not being carry all that excess weight. Even though my weight back then did not equal the ideal BMI for me overall, my goal is to go back to my weight from two and half years ago. If I happen to lose more than I hoped for, than great!

So far, I've been going to the gym twice a week (although I missed one week) and it's been great; but my weight have not moved since I started to exercise. My healthy diet has been on-and-off, so I need to make that more of a permanent thing. And I need to actually follow my advice from my blog and do light exercises everyday. I know it's not a quick change overnight, but I was hoping I was half way there like my first time. But I will continue to have the patience until I see the results that I want.

So that is all for this week, and don't forget to visit next week! Maybe, I should update you guys on my progress again next month, or maybe every three months (?). Comment down below to remind me to be healthy! And if you have any advice(s) please share them down below!

I'll see you soon,

Bye ♥
