My Spring-go-to-Makeup Look

This is an easy, everyday, fresher than normal makeup look that you can easily do with all the products you have in your makeup collection.

Base. I am an unbelievable oily skinned gal, so I want something to mattify my face, but  also  some luminosity as I want fresh/healthy looking skin. I use the NARS Velvet Matte Tinted Moisturiser as this will give me a halo-like glow to my face. If I get shiny, I easily dab off the oils with a tissue and it looks good as new. Sometimes I use a primer, but I am not committed too anything, so use whatever you are comfortable with for your base. Currently, I use the Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer in Deep to conceal pimples and dark circles, and the NYX Pro Foundation Mixer to slightly contour/bronze before applying my base.

Brows. Shape them, tame them, and fill them in how you like them. I prefer straight brows as it gives a youthful look; and I use brow powder as it gives me a overall softer look. I use the NYX Brow Powder Duo.

Multi-tasks. This where the fun comes in. Bring out your bronzer to bring some warmth and dimensions back to the face. But besides using your bronzer to bronze your face, use it as eyeshadow. I've been doing this before the trend came to be for the season. If you have two bronzer shades in your compact (I sometimes use both), use the darker shade and just smoke it out with the one shade. It gives a very soft muted, yet a bit of sultry look to the eyes. You can take it the next step further, and use your bronzer as a blush. Personally, I don't use blusher as I don't find it flattering on me. I am currently using a bronzer from M&S.

Step it Up. The next step is to do a winged liner or not. Most times, I would completely skip this step, but if you're up for the challenge, I am fully supporting you. I personally use the L'oreal Superstar Pen Liner as it is great for the job. Next, I tight line using the L'oreal Infallible Twist up Eyeliner in black. I only apply it about 1/3 of the way through to the end of the 2/3 of my eyes... If you get what I mean. So only the middle section of my eyes, where my pupils will sit if I look straight forward. This will make your eyes look bigger. Then I will use my current mascara, the L'oreal Miss Hippie Mascara, and coat my top lashes with it.

Highlight. The word in itself explains. I will use either Coloupop's Wisps with the Real Technique's Sponge or apply the highlighter from the Rimmel's Contour Palette in the shade #3 with a brush.

Powder. I use Rimmel's Stay matte powder in Translucent. Sometimes, I bake...but for the most times, I will only use powder only my T-zone and to set my under eyes.

The Pout. This wear you can choose your favourite shade. Preferably something warmer, as bronzer was used a lot. I prefer something less bold, so I like to switch between NYX's Dubai and Berlin, and Colourpop's Ultra Matte Lips in Lovebug. I would love to pair this with a bold red lip for a fancy dinner; but overall, any lip colour will be perfect!

And that is the completed look. This look all depends if you want a softer or bolder look. If you want something softer, you can easily skip some steps, and it will look a lot more naturally. I hope you try this out using your favourite products.

I'll see you next Monday for something new,
Bye ♥
