THE SHEET MASKS

Moving away from Fashion and back into Beauty and it seems like the west is taking on some beauty tips from the east. (Yes!) One of the most hyped up product back in the beauty industry was the introduction of the 'BB cream' and now the 'Cushion foundation', where less coverage bases and the natural look is more valued and coming into play. The east believes that less is more in terms of makeup, but when it comes to skincare its another story.

Having a good skincare regime is the fundamental base in which makeup can properly sit on the face and do its glory. Spending more time (and maybe money) on your skincare also means that you will need less makeup on your face as your skin will be radiating and giving off the healthy glow. Your skin goes through alot of crap within a day, this is why your skin deserve some TLC. Swapping out your 'lazy girl skincare routine' for the 'korean/japanese' routine is beneficial long term, as you will be preventing fine lines and wrinkles by hydrating your skin instead of using chemical to clear them out later.

Being an oily-skinned girl, I can definitely say I am blessed to have no serious acne problem growing up (fingers-crossed for the future too!) and I believe that is due to me taking proper good care of my skin. (My skincare journey and my current skincare routine can be another topic for later posts). However, being a student who is always on a budget is hard as purchasing the amount of items needed for 'korean/japanese' routine will in no doubt break the bank. This is why sheet masks are fabulous! (finally made it to the point). Think about these masks as mini facials without breaking the bank. I love doing a mask  at the end of the school week to let my skin relax. I will sometimes do two masks in one day (usually the day before the occasion) or two in a week to perk myself up. This gives me a good 20~30 minutes to relax, and of course the usual ritual of sending scary snaps to my friends while also completing the rest of my skincare routine.

Even though I have not solve my oiliness, I can say I am pretty good a taming all the other things which supposedly comes along with it. I definitely recommend the sheet masks to any types of skins out there, as each mask is tailored for a specific problem whether it is hydration, hyper-pigmentation or aging skin.

I still cannot believe that the west is only properly starting to jump on this bandwagon and the bandwagon should keep on going. However I do think that the more popular brands in the west can either lower their prices down or sell individual masks so the customer can try it out before committing to the whole packet.

Hope you enjoy this and try it out as well!

I will see you guys next week,
