If you read my previous BOOKCLUB posts, then you'll know that I loved the "His Fair Assassin" trilogy by Robin LaFevers (check it out here!). If you were a fan of the series like me, then you'll definitely love this one too.

It has been some time since I read all these books, but I still have fond memories of them and would like to share these amazing stories with you guys. The first book of this series is called Servant of the Crown. This story follows the Countess of Waxwold, Alison Quinn. She has been summoned to be a lady-in-waiting for the Queen's mother. Alison did not want to leave her father's publishing company, even though she will have access to the Royal Library where thousands of books are kept - which is tempting for a bookworm like her. In the end, she decides to serve the crown. Due to her being a lady-in-waiting, she met the womaniser Prince Anthony North... and she is his next conquest. However, the Prince did not lived up to his name. As time passes by with a series of events, Alison swears never to return... Until she was summoned to be the Royal Liberian. Can Alison step up to the tasks and save the Library, and doing so Tremontane as well?

The next book to this series is called Rider of the Crown; and this book revolves around Imogen. Imogen is a warrior of the Kirkellan tribes, and war finally has ended between her tribe and Ruskald through a peace treaty. She ends up marrying the King of Ruskald with a marriage contract of 5 years to suffice the peace between the two. Due to Elspeth North arrival, she brings war to Imogen's feet and sets her free. Suddenly an ambassador for her tribe, she must manage the Tremontane's ways. Imogen dumbfounded by how hard life is compared to her free-spirited ways, she was something refreshing and different for the handsome King Jeffrey North Can she live up to all the expectations of those around her, and protect those she love in this new war she must face?

And the last book to the main bulk of this trilogy/series is Agent of the Crown. Now you get to meet the third generation of the North's family, and it is Telaine North Hunter. She is the beautiful, fun, flirtatious Princess of Tremontane... and without a doubt, the centre of attention. But here's the thing, she has been lying all this time. Agent to the crown (as the title states), she must go undercover as a Deviser up in the mountains of a town named Longbourne. She encounters Mistress Weaver, who ended up sheltering her. As time slowly slipped away, alongside the comfort of her home, can she lie forever, follow her heart, and bring peace to her kindgom?

If you're thinking that I've missed out on the forth book, Exile of the Crown (last pic above), it is a novella based on one of the characters you will meet in one of the three books. As you can see with each book, the plot revolves around the eyes of a strong female protagonist, and the next generation of the North's family. Similarly done in the His Fair Assassin series, however LaFevers just changed each book to be a point of view of one of the three friends - which is why I love Melissa McShane in executing these four books in this particular way. You'll get to see old characters from the first book, and meet new ones as it moves onto the next book. These stories were incredible! And if you remember what I said before, if I am willing to reread a book, especially a series - that's a huge statement. However, since I love the author's works so much! I am nearly done with Burning Bright, one of McShane's newer books. So far I am loving it, but I might not write a post on it just yet as it is a series. If possible, I would like to review the whole thing all at once. And before I go, there's a bit of magic to all these books. If you don't understand, then I guess you will have to check it out, and see for yourself!

I'll see you next week for a brand new post from me,
Bye ♥
