Boots Collective Haul (Part 1) - BEAUTY+SKINCARE

All images belongs to the owner(s)

Just as the title clearly states, this is a collective haul - meaning everything in this haul was bought within the past few months. As a bonus to this collective haul, I had the chance to play around with most of the products already; which mean I can give you a mini review on whether or not I like the products. So let get started!

MAKEUP
Most of my Boots purchase is done online, but this rule does not apply when it comes to makeup (besides liner or mascara). NYX Full Throttle Shadow Palette in Daring Damsel was simply too intriguing. Looking at swatches online, it reminded me of one of the Charlotte Tilbury Palette, hence the reason why I bought it. The pigmentation of NYX's palette is amazing, and they blend beautifully without any effort required. Though I have to say, it does not really look like a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Palette I was thinking of, there probably something similar available in the shade range as it is quite big. Carrying on with my love for NYX's products, the NYX's Pro Foundation Mixers did not follow suit. I bought mine to simply make my foundations more yellow toned, but it did not work the way I wanted it to work. This is a pass from me. On a more positive note, most of you guys already know one of my favourite mascara ever is the L'oreal's Miss Manga, the original mascara of the range. So I picked up the Miss Hippie Mascara to see if I will adore it just as much as the original ‘Miss Mascara’. Guess what! I love it! I think I love this more, because the wand is not bendy like the original. I am still loving it, and it gets the thumbs up from me! Continuing with another iconic product from L'oreal is none other than the False Lash Sculpt Mascara. I haven't tried this yet, so I can't give my thoughts on it just yet. And last but not least, is the hyped up infallible range from L'OrĂ©al. I decided to try the Infallible Eye Liner, as I suffered from raccoon/panda eyes after a few hours of wearing makeup. I can honestly say I don’t suffer from any smudging from this product at all! A bonus feature of the liner that it is retractable! So no sharper needed!

SKINCARE
Moving onto skincare, the Simple Toner is something I repurchased more than once. I really don't have anything bad to say about it, but it does not give me miraculous results either. Hence, I picked up the Boots Simply Sensitive Gently Refreshing Toner. I just want to see if there's any difference between this one and the Simple toner. I can't say anything about it now, because I haven’t tried it yet. Continuing with a new Simple product I recently bought, is the Kind To Skin Soothing Facial Scrub. I picked this one up, because I prefer physical exfoliant rather than chemical exfoliant. However, before exfoliating I will use an amazing item to clean my skin. It is none other than the Garnier Skin Active Oil-Infused Micellar Cleansing Wipes. Since it is infused with oils, it easily breaks down makeup (and even waterproof mascara!). But on the other hand, the Garnier Pure Active 2 in 1 Wipes is a meh product compared to the oil-infused wipes. Moving onto something much stronger to clean my skin, I have spent a good amount of time using the L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Detox Mask. At first it performed amazingly; changing colours like one of the Glam Glow mask (not like I tried it). Now nearing the end of the pot, it just dries down without the colour change. So I don't know how to feel about the product anymore, as I feel like it's not working like how it did before. Something I do know I love is the original Garniner micellar water, so why not try the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for Combination & Sensitive Skin! I haven't tried it just yet, as I am currently using is the Soap&Glory 5-in-1 Micellar Water. I don't have any negative thoughts on the product, but I much prefer the Garnier one. And the last item I picked up was Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Glow Boost Skin Serum. This serum had become my replacement for the Garnier corrective serum (I don't know the actual name) as I think it has been discontinued. I don't know if it’s working, because I started to only notice my scars fading when I added another serum to my routine. So I don't know if it's because I used this serum and the results only started to show, or because the new serum made the difference.

So, that is everything I have bought in the last few months (makeup+skincare only). I hope this will help you save a few pennies or spend some (then I am sorry). I'll see you on Thursday for part 2 of this collective haul, which will include body, hair and miscellaneous items. And Comment down below if you like all the product reviews in one big paragraph per category as I am trying a new format.

I'll see you this Thurday,
Bye ♥
