If you were here on Monday, then you'll know that this is part two of my Boots collective haul. You can check out part one here if you're interested in my makeup and skincare purchased. But for part two, it’s all going to be about the hair and body. So let’s check out if what I bought was worth it.
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Let’s get the Blistex Triple Butters
SPF15 lip balm out of the way first.
I didn’t know what category this would be in, so I decided it will be the only one in the
miscellaneous category. This is my on-the-go lip balm as it's current home is my handbag. It does the job
by hydrating my paper-dried lips, and it has SPF to protect my lips from the sun which is a bonus!
BODY
Now, let’s get to the main bulk of the haul!
First up is the Yes to Blueberries Ultra Hydrating Body Wash. There are many reasons why I was
interested in trying this new body wash out; (1) it was on offer, so it was
less pricey; (2) it has the word hydrating, which my skin needs; and lastly (3)
it has lavender, which will help me to relax at night. The only complaint I have about this body wash is the fact that it has a thin consistency for something pricier than the Original Source Vanilla & Raspberry Shower Wash. These two body wash has the same
consistency, but I use the Original source as my morning body wash. This is my
second time I purchased this body wash, and it smells
DELICIOUS! It’s reminds me of strawberry yogurt, and I LOVE IT. Something else
I also love is the Soap and Glory Breakfast Scrub. This is the only body
scrub that I have been using for the last three years, and I don’t think I will
stray from it anytime soon! And there seems to be a common theme in the body
products that I love – I like them smelling like desserts. Moving onto something which does
not smell sweet at all is the Johnson's Baby Oil Spray. I use this as moisturiser
after I’ve done showering. When I’m still wet, I spray this onto my body and
rub it in. Then I will towel dry myself, and this will make my skin
silky smooth without feeling heavy like how a body butter or lotion would make me feel. And lastly I have
repurchased the Mitchum Advanced Women in Shower Fresh; and I will be
trying the Flower Fresh scent for the first time. The Mitchum spray deodorant
is my current deodorate of choice, but I would like to try something new in the
future.
HAIR
Because I want to have that wavy mermaid/beachy waves, I need to protect my
hair by using the TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray. This is a
repurchase, but I finally bought the big size. I know I will love this, because I bought this more than once in the travel size; and I will continue to use
it after I finish the L'Oreal Paris Studio Pro
Heat It Hot & Straight Heat Protection Spray. I’m gonna be straight and say I prefer the Tresemme one, as
this makes my hair feel slightly sticky when my hair is still wet; though the stickiness
does go away after my hair has been blow dried. And to help with my blow dry, I use the Wet Brush. At
first I did not want to try this out, because I had the tangle teaser. But OMG, this changed my whole hair game.
After using the tangle teaser, I noticed my hair was becoming a lot thinner; to
the point you will think that I’m going bald (no joke). However, the Wet Brush does not yank my hair out, and it makes brushing my
hair less of a chore. And
something else I love using is the Aussie’s
Shampoos and Conditioners. I usually use the Miracle Moist Range, but decided to try something new. So, I went
with Aussie’s Winter Miracle Shampoo and
Conditioner. The smell is not as delicious as the Miracle Moist Range, but it still leaves my hair feeling amazing.
And since I love the shampoo and condition, I decided to try out the 3 minute
miracle luscious long from
Aussie as well. I do have to say this is not my favourite. The scent in
particular is a no for me. Plus, it does not make my hair feel as soft as the
normal conditioner from the range does. I will have to pass on this, but I
might try the Miracle Moist version of this in the 3 minute’s
treatment next time.
So that is everything I have bought from boots in the past few months.
I hope this helps you save a few pennies (or spend). Please dont't be offended if I don't like your favourite products as they just not worked out for me.
I hope you enjoyed this and I’ll see you Monday for the next one,
Bye ♥
