You guys had no idea how long I waited for May 2017 to come along. If you checked my latest Favourites, then you will know HOW MUCH I LOVE A Court of Wings and Ruins – see that? I used present tense, cause I still LOVE IT. I waited for over a year and it well worth the wait. However, this obsession started with the first book of the series, A Court of Thorns and Roses.

A Court of Thorns and Roses (Book 1) Review
A Court of Thorns and Roses is about Feyre. She is the youngest in her family, and their survival is dependent on her. Her ability to hunt is a small blessing, but not until she forced to magical kingdom as her skills came with a price… Her captor, mysterious and alluring, he hides behind a mask hiding many secrets from her. Can she ever see what's behind that mask? or is time running out? and is she the only one who can stop it?

A Court of Mist and Fury (Book 2) Review
Everything has changed during those 3 months. She is gone. She is gone. She keeps reminding herself that she is safe, and she is gone. The cost was too high for her human heart. Broken and alone, Feyre must navigate herself in her new world; a place now she must call home. A bargain was made. Will she ever need to pay it? Will Feyre ever be Feyre again? Can what was lost be found again? Or will she find another meaning in a world that’s not hers?

Summary
Before I even start, I must sincerely thank my friends for introducing me to Sarah J Maas. Both series I have read from her are amazing! This series in particular is to die for! If you guys ever read my previous Book Club reviews, then you will know I love the concept of ‘Beauty and the Beast’. If you strip down this first book to its main plot line, then it is essentially another ‘Beauty and the Beast’. However, due to Maas’s brilliance, and I mean sheer brilliance, the complexity makes this plot line in another dimension – not another level, another dimension! If this concept is not your usual cup of tea, I can guarantee you Maas made it a page turner that you won’t regret purchasing. Let’s just say it won’t feel like ‘that‘concept as Maas produced and bought something utterly new into the world.

If the first one does not sound amazing, the second book was to die for and still is! This is the only book, the only book I ever read twice – yes, twice! The twists and turns are brilliant. Maas deserves a round of applause for what she did. It was utterly unpredictable, and sheer perfection! She took the plot so much further than anyone can predict; or anyone can make. No Joke, I reread this the second time, and in a whole day – A WHOLE DAY! The character development was so intense and so unpredictable it made it soooo gripping to follow. I do not have anything to say besides mind blown. It’s simply mind blowing – See that? Present tense, I am still blown away. Besides the praising, you know how I kinda explained that the first book was similar to Beauty and the Beast, it's wayyyyy far from it in this second book. And that is all I am going to say, because I will surely spoil the books if I say anything more.

I feel like I do not want to spoil anything or let anything slip, as I am only explaining how this book made me feel. Honestly…this series is worth so much! So much more than I can ever comprehend! If you can, give it a read; because you will understand why I am praising it so much. Then again, I could be making you have a high expectation, and making you disappointed in the process. Just go in blind and do not expect anything. I went in blind, and this is one of the best things I have ever experienced. This series is one of those series where when I finished with one book, I went in straight looking for the second one. You can only imagine when I found out I had to wait a whole year for the third one to be released - cries!

I would love it if you can love this series with me. Come back at the end of next month for a review on A Court of Wings and Ruins (the third book of the series). And for the first time I am recommending a book before I talk about like a book club ought to be. Come back next week to see how I attempt mermaid hair (aka my untamed-able mane)... basically my haircare routine.

I’ll see you soon,
Bye
