My Current Hair Care Routine: An Attempt to have Mermaid Hair

I think it must have been over 2 years since my last hair related post (click here), so this is definitely an update. I think I have changed all the products I used then, so this will show you how my hair has changed within the last couple of years.

I would now describe my hair to be pretty weak. I completely regret complaining about having thick voluminous hair as I lost around a third of it - no joke. I try to avoid damaging my hair at all cost. However, my hair can also be weak and rough if not managed properly. So... that is my hair and the current situation I am trying to work with.

Due to my weak hair, I am currently using the L'Oreal Coriander Shampoo and Conditioner for fragile hair. I think by now everyone knows I adore the Aussie Miracle Moist Duo, but this combo is new on the market, seems more natural and lighter for the hair, and summer; therefore no greasy hair on third day hair. It's been over a month, and it's alright. I shampoo twice, and leave it on for 1~2 minutes while massaging my scalp. I had to include that, because I think some people don't double cleanse. Another thing I never see people do, is leave their conditioner in for at least 3 minutes so it can maximise the absorption and nourishment - which is what I do.

For my attempt of a weekly treatment, I use the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist Treatment. This makes my hair hydrated! And silky soft. And it smells AMAZING! And it really works in 3 minutes!

To blow dry my hair, I use the Tresemme Heat Protective Spray. I love this spray as it has a fine mist, and my hair does not feel sticky once it's dried. After using a heat protective spray, I air dry my hair for as long as possible before blow drying it. I would separate my hair into four parts to make the whole process faster. Once my hair is 85%-ish dried, I would  brush it.

The last product I use is hair oil. I do this when it nearly dries as oil and water don't mix (obviously). The Dove Hair Oil is what I am currently using; though it is not my favourite. It smells soapy to me, but it's nourishing enough.

If I wash my hair at night, I would do one last blow dry on cool. This is so I don't go to sleep with a damp scalp.

So that is all for my current hair care routine. As you can see, it has completely changed from my last routine. To be honest, my hair care has changed a lot within the last few years will trial and errors, but I am getting close to a routine I like. So, this is my attempt of having nice and well kept hair for the summer. I'll see you next week for a mini Asian skincare haul.

I'll see you soon,
Bye ♥
