HALF WAY THERE! | 2016

It's already been more than a month, but we are already in the second half of the year! It's such a weird feeling! One moment you think the day is never gonna end, and the next thing you know, you're at the end of the month! I'm not gonna lie, when I searched 'when is half way through the year' and saw that it already passed, I was like '...'. Anyways, the whole point of this is to review the highlights (and lowlight?) of the first half of 2016.

Let's start with the dimmer side of life... Exams. Last year of secondary/high school and it was the most stressful 6 months of my educational life. I can say I was not alone, as I know there are many other seniors out there going through the same thing. But honestly, it got to the point where I was studying so much that the stress made me ill. I was even off school for nearly 3 weeks, and also had to do my exams whilst I was still recovering. So that was definitely grim.

However, after being one of the earliest people to finish my exams (which means they were all crammed together), I can finally have a rest before my graduation and prom.Graduation was one of the most surreal thing that ever happened to me in my life. Even now I questioned myself if it really happened. I had two of my wonderful friends that decided to go to uni early, celebrated with the group of us who decided to continue into sixth form. It was definitely a day to remember, and I know I made friends for life.

As soon as graduation and prom was done, off we went to Samui! Let me tell you, turbulence on that flight was a killer. Me and my friends laughed the whole way (some were scared), but it was definitely life threatening. Surprised that we even survived! Samui is one of the famous islands in Thailand. Whilst some decided to party hard, I took the chillaxing route. Had my first Thai body massage, and it was glorious. Felt like a complete new human being after that. Sunbathed, swam, ate good food, visited night markets, and taking Instagram worthy photos, what more can you ask for?

Nearly forgot! I did my driving lesson and passed both tests in flying colours! I now only need a car, but I don't recommend myself to go on the road anytime soon.

Those are all my memorable highlights of my 2016 so far. Most of this happened in the last couple of months, as I said previously I was completely engrossed in my studies and did not do anything besides that. Stay tune, as I will be telling you my favourite tangible things in the last 6 months and what to pack for another small getaway before summer is officially over.

See you later,
Bye ♥
