Travel Get Ready | Short Trip Edition

Summer is nearly over! But don't fret! We can still squeeze another trip! Here is how I pack for a few days away with some tips and trick to be sure you are not taking anything unnecessary.

TOILETRY
Depending on your transport, if you going by plane make sure all your liquid are under 100ml and ready in a zip lock bag. If you are staying in a hotel, there is probably no need for the basic toiletry such as soap. Bring your trusty toothpaste and toothbrush cause nobody wants dragon breath. I say bring mini versions of your shampoo and condition if you know you gonna go swimming or have greasy roots before coming back. Strip down your skincare routine and bring the mini versions of your products, because you don't want your skincare to breakout from the product it might be missing at home. If not you can just place some in the mini clear pots! Plus take one or two face masks, as your skin might crave the extra oof
CLOTHES
I think everyone already know this, but roll your clothes. Apparently it prevents creasing (which is never the case for me), but it definitely save space. Before packing your whole wardrobe, plan your outfits. Jeans can be used a couple of times if nothing happens to them. I always lay my jeans down first, then I stack the rolled clothes on top. After, I fold the jeans on top of the clothes to secure them. One underwear for one day, but I always bring one spares if anything happens. Plus if you are bothered, you can wash and dry them if you want to reuse them. If you don't mind spending money, you can buy those 'one-off' underwears, so your suitcase is lighter on the way back. Only two shoes, whatever is on your feet while travelling and something a lil'bit special like heels if you are on holiday for a special occasion or sandals for the beach. You do not need a new bottom for everyday, but one shirt for everyday. So there will be more tops than bottoms.

MAKEUP
I know it's difficult to choose one of each item to bring on holiday as you might not know what you feeling on the day. But, since you planned your outfits, it should be easier. Bring a sheer coverage base, because you might have gained a tan and a lighter coverage is more forgivable than a heavy one. I can't tell you what to exactly to pack as each individual is different, but I recommend one thing of each and maximum of three lip products. If it was to me, I would bring only a mascara, an eyeshadow palette (with a colour which can do ma brows), a nude and a bold lip colour.

ACCESSORIES
I personally don't wear much, but have your accessories kept somewhere safe to prevent any damage to them. Maybe bring a clutch if you know you gonna go to a special occasion.

EXTRAS
Have all your electronic cables in small bag (I usually put them in a spare makeup bag). A book for some entertainment on the trip or maybe your kindle (therefore you have access to more than one book).

D-DAY
The day you are travelling, wear something comfortable. If it's a short journey and you have somewhere to be as soon as you land, why not just have makeup on. If you are not that bothered, go bare faced. Where heavier items on yourself such as trainers and jackets.

Those are all the tips I remember from the tops of my head. If I miss anything out, comment your tips down below.

See you soon,
Bye ♥
